Supporting the local economy has never been easier. QMT Windchimes has been manufacturing hand-tuned wind chimes in the U.S. for over 30 years. On top of utilizing raw materials from American lumber and aluminum suppliers, the company also actively supports nonprofit groups and contributes 20 percent of each online purchase to a nonprofit organization each month.
QMT Windchimes is the premier domestic manufacturer of high quality, hand-tuned wind chimes, all made in their factory in Manassas Park, Virginia. Originating at the Florida craft show circuit in the early 80’s, Mike Throne camped in the back of his van and traveled to craft shows selling different products, including wind chimes from a local producer. When his source for chimes dried up, Mike began to build his own handmade wind chimes, with an eye toward quality and continually improving his designs.
Working during the week in a 10’ x 20’ warehouse, Mike produced the chimes that would be sold on the weekend. The demand for his wind chimes soon became overwhelming, so Mike hired his first employees, founded their current facility in Manassas Park and set down roots in the community to produce quality handmade wind chimes for wholesale trade shows.
QMT’s wind chimes are engineered for unmatched sound quality. They are assembled with care and each pipe is individually hand-tuned for superior sound that customers love. The wind chimes are also customizable to make lasting memories for a lifetime. Mother’s Day is coming up soon, and it’s the perfect gift idea to display at your booth.
QMT has wind chimes for any environment. Durable and weather resistant, they make for exceptional outdoor use for every space from a sprawling metropolis to a country cabin getaway. There are so many different styles and colors to browse, including Corinthian Bells, Arabesque, Lakeshore Melodies, and many others, all with their own unique sound. QMT Windchimes also sells bird feeders and bird houses.
Community Service is a Big Part of QMT Windchimes
QMT donated an Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) to the American Red Cross that was commissioned in the spring of 2019. The ERV was deployed over the summer to help areas affected by Hurricane Dorian.
“This vehicle is a physical manifestation of serving the community, and will benefit everyone,” according to Patty Baisden, Vice President of QMT Associates, Inc. “We wanted to give back by providing the equipment needed to help those in crisis. The Red Cross’s National Capital Region has set a goal to replace four older vehicles and our commitment replaces one of them.”
