This is the festival that apple lovers will not want to miss. Complete with a parade, nightly entertainment, and everything apple that you can imagine, the 2021 Four Flags Area Apple Festival is a fun-filled weekend for the whole family. This event is taking place on September 30 – October 3 in Niles, Michigan.
Known as one of the top festivals in the state, the Four Flags Area Apple Festival is an annual four-day event filled with carnival rides, food vendors, over 100 arts and crafts booths, parades, contests, free entertainment, and so much more. The festival began in 1972 when a group of volunteers gathered to promote, unite, and cherish the apple harvest through an annual event. Since then, the number of volunteers has grown and new programs are added each year.
On September 18, the opening ceremonies will be held for the Four Flags Area Apple Festival, including a Queen Pageant and a Prince/Princess selection. Then on September 25, there will be a Youth Day, which is a free day filled with fun for the kids. The festival starts on September 30th, thru October 3rd. On Saturday, October 2nd, a five-mile parade will begin in downtown Niles at 1:30, and end at the Niles High School. October 1 and 2 will include free nightly entertainment, and Sunday they will host a lively Lip Sync Contest. On top of all of these fun events, each guest will receive a free apple upon entry, and you can also shop around for different apple flavored pastries, cookies, pies, juice, and more. If you can dream it, they have it!
