Northwest School of the Arts Student Leadership and the Northwest Foundation are excited to announce their first Festival in the Parking Lot. Students, parents, and local vendors will be setting up mini shops in the school’s parking lot spaces to create a one-of-a-kind flea market. From 12pm to 5pm on Saturday, April 27th, this unique market will be selling all sorts of treasures such as art, crafts, home goods, vintage clothing, yummy snacks, and more.
The NWSA Foundation supports Northwest School of the Arts and promotes its students’ development as artists, performers, scholars, and citizens. The proceeds from the paid vendor spots will go to a scholarship fund for a Northwest senior who is committed to community service and improving their community. Vendor parking lot spots are $20 each, and you can register on their website at sites.google.com/cms.k12.nc.us/festivalintheparkinglot/home.
Festival in the Parking Lot is a free family friendly event open to the general public and will be located in the back parking lot of the school. The foundation is also looking for emerging musicians that are interested in performing an acoustic set. There is no fee for musicians to perform, and participants can sign up on their website. Come shop and sell for a good cause at this new market! For any questions, please email Mrs. Kathryn Berry at kathryna.winter@cms.k12.nc.us.
