A new flea market with room for up to 600 booths is scheduled to open in February at the former Cookeville Mall building in Tennessee, according to a report in the Herald-Citizen. The Sunnyside Swap Meet is scheduled to reopen in Fresno, California in early February after being closed for the past fifteen years. The owners have been waiting on final approval from the Fresno city council since November to officially resume operations. Valentine’s Forecast Predicts Double Digit Growth

Retail spending will increase nearly 13 percent for Valentine’s Day 2012 year-over-year, according to the National Retail Federation’s 2011 Valentine’s Day Consumer Intentions and Actions Survey, as the outlook for the retail industry continues to improve.
