Jamie’s Flea Market is the largest flea market in Northern Ohio. They are open year-round, entertaining visitors each and every Wednesday and Saturday. The holiday season is a particularly special time of year for Jamie’s Flea, as they celebrate their annual 25 Days Until Christmas event. Lorna Ingersoll, great-granddaughter of William Jamie, who founded Jamie’s Flea Market back in 1977 tells The Merchandiser Group, “30 some years ago we decided we needed to do something special for Christmas. So we decided to be open the first Sunday in December,” says Lorna. They celebrated with free pictures with Santa and hourly drawings. “It was a great way to start your Christmas shopping,” continues Lorna. “We no longer do the Christmas special on Sunday we do it on the first Saturday in December, still using the same concept of a great way to start your Christmas shopping, find that unique gift, pictures with Santa and hourly drawings. We used to do free pictures with Santa but the last couple years we decided to charge $1.00 or a canned good and donate it to the Second Harvest Food Bank.”

This year, 25 Days Until Christmas features new vendors as well as returning favorites, stocking stuffers under $5.00 and top gifts under $25.00. Many of the special deals will be advertised on Jamie’s Flea Market Facebook page ahead of time. For vendors, Lorna says, “Jamie’s is a great way to start a small business or promote your existing business. Our building is full and vendors do very well.”

2018 will be an “extra fun year at Jamie’s.” There are events planned for every month, including a January Snowflake Stroll, February Facebook Valentine Photo Contest, an annual Easter Celebration in March including pictures with the Easter Bunny, Jamie’s Spring Fest in April with a prize wheel. “May is our Annual Gas Grill Giveaway,” says Lorna. “We’ll also be giving away a Mother’s day Basket in May.” Fun events for the whole family can be found at Jamie’s all year long.

“Jamie’s is the last traditional flea market in northeast Ohio,” says Lorna. “Selling new and used items, antiques and collectibles, sports memorabilia, jewelry, tools, toys something for everyone in the family.” The market has celebrated over 40 years of selling, giving back to the community, and making priceless memories.
