Have you ever given a kiss to an armadillo? How about a 12′ long, 5′ high armadillo statue? Well, if you’re heading out to the San Antonio/Schertz, TX, area, you can stop into Bussey’s Flea Market and scratch that particular item off of your bucket list!

Bussey’s Market was first opened back in 1978 by Mr. H.P. Bussey as a venue with just 120 vendor spaces. Over time, the market grew to over 500 spaces, and was sold to a limited partnership, including Mr. Harold Smith, who continues as the market’s General Manager to this day, working together with his children Karmen West, Steven Smith, and Pamela Smith, all of whom continue to see to the market’s well being and success.

The market offers fun for all ages, especially if you like giant armadillo statues! From antiques, jewelry, watches, military paraphernalia, to clothing and an assortment of delicious food, Bussey’s offers vendors and visitors a huge selection.

Market management frequently joins in the fun of celebrating holidays with Easter Egg Hunts, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day weekend specials. The market runs every Saturday and Sunday from 7:00am – 5:00pm, with $1.00 parking and 2 ATM machines on site.
