Back in 1973 Melton “Cowboy” Terrell and his wife Janie opened up the Mountain Top Flea Market with a handful of vendors, a hot dog stand, and a whole lot of Southern hospitality. Over the years their little market grew and grew, attracting shoppers and country flea market seekers from all 50 states, to eventually reach an amazing 1.65 million visitors back in 1995.
