SmorgasburgBrooklyn’s famous Smorgasburg flea and food market is making its Upstate debut this month in Kingston, NY. A spin-off of the Brooklyn Flea, Smorgasburg has been hailed as the “Woodstock of eating,” and “The single greatest thing gastronomically in New York City.”

Smorgasburg Upstate is launching Saturday August 6th at the Hutton Brickyards in Kingston, NY. Market hours will be from 11am – sundown every Saturday from August through October. There are already many food and flea vendors signed up, which you can view on their website. Smorgasburg is still accepting applications for more flea vendors from all product categories. Vendor prices range from $50 – $250 per day depending on merchandise type and table size. Organizers are expecting around 10,000 attendees on opening day.

The market was originally scheduled to open June 4th, but was delayed due to the construction Smorgasburg is performing on the Hutton Brickyards. The Hutton Brickyards are located directly on the Hudson River. In their glory days, going as far back as 1865, the location produced bricks for large-scale construction projects. Abandoned sometime around 1985, the Brickyards are now being refurbished, repurposed, and brought up to safety standards to be the host of what promises to be one of the Hudson Valley’s largest flea market destinations.
