Due to shopper demand, Kobey’s will be open from 3pm – 8pm every Thursday until September 1st. Kobey’s was founded in 1976 by Monte Kobey at the Midway Drive-In. Originally the market had only 13 vendors and 200 shoppers. In 1980 the market moved to its current location in the San Diego Sports Arena. From there, the swap meet was an overnight success.
