KY Flea’s New Year’s Spectacular

image of kentucky flea market's new year's spectacularThe Kentucky Flea Market New Year’s Spectacular is scheduled for this weekend and will feature more than 1,200 booths of crafts, closeouts, grocery items, apparel, accessories and more. More than 500 antique booths will also have their own section of the event, which takes place at the Kentucky Expo Center, located at 937 Phillips Lane, Louisville, KY.

The Kentucky Flea Market celebrates 37 years in business this year, and as part of the festivities, there will be guest appearances by professional wrestlers “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan and Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake. The event begins on Saturday, December 29 and runs through Tuesday, January 1. Hours on Saturday and Monday are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Tuesday the market runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Vendors still looking for space at the last minute may call 502-367-5472 to see if any booths are available. The Kentucky Flea Market New Year’s Spectacular is produced by Stewart Promotions, which manages several markets in Indianapolis, IN, Knoxville, TN, and Louisville, KY throughout the year. Booth spaces generally start at $105 for a 14-foot by eight-foot space, but vary by city. There are two flea markets following the New Year’s Spectacular, taking place in Knoxville and Indianapolis on the weekend of January 18 through January 20, with many more scheduled throughout 2013.
